My Blog Got Hosed!

I don’t exactly know what happened, but somehow my custom stylesheets got hosed over the past couple of days and I lost the template I made that resembled my web site. I had to select a different template for now and will have to live with it until I can find the time to rebuild.

As Arnie said, “I’ll be back!”

Had A Coupla Sick Days

Despite some horrible stomach bug that ran through me like Grant ran through Richmond, I had several auditions this week. NO call-backs. :(

However, one of my colleagues reports he’s in the throes of attempting to pass a kidney stone. Ouch! Never had one of those and don’t want one. Get better soon, Jeff.

As per Stephanie Ciccarelli…

Stephanie at Voices.com sent me this e-mail invitation. I’m going to copy and paste the body of her e-mail herein so as to assure it’s correct:

Hi Doc,

I hope you are well and enjoying the week.

We’re having a contest at Voices.com starting this Friday called “The 60 Second Pitch Contest” and thought you might be interested in sharing this information with your audience.

There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes worth over $4000.00 and this contest will prove to be one of the most exciting and educational events that the voice over industry has seen in quite some time.

Entrants can be from any niche of the audio field (voice actors, podcasters, voice over coaches, voice talent agents, etc.) and are invited to submit an MP3 60 second pitch about who they are, what they do and how their business can serve others.

If this is something that you’d like to report on for your blog, we’d be grateful for your assistance in spreading the word.

Here’s a link to learn more about the 60 Second Pitch:

Doc, if you have any questions, please reply via email and I’ll be able to answer you pretty much immediately :)

Thanks!

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Stephanie

Marching to the beat…

Well, I’ve been doing auditions on top of auditions lately. If I get 1 gig for every 10 auditions I’ve recently done, my mortgage will be covered this month. LMAO

Well, May is starting off slowly. So, I have plenty of time for marketing! Yeah, I know… the REAL work behind successful voiceover artists.

Doc’s Monthly Newsletter

Say - I forgot to mention that I publish a monthly newsletter. I call it: “What’s Up Doc!”. It’s geared mostly for voiceover artists, but it’s not a hype doc. I keep it very casual and attempt to update my ongoings. I also add a little fluff - fun stuff… like a monthly trivia question, some of my personal observations, links to great gear deals and more.

If you’d like to get on my email list, just drop me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to add you.

:)
